Hi,

Over the last couple of days my internet speed has dropped dramatically, when downloading songs and etc its was averaging around 400kbps. Now the speed of downloading is around 10kbps (which is shocking!!)

this is from the livebox

Any ideas ? I've done master socket test, there's no noise on the line. with the livebox plugged in to the master socket & test it is the same as the quoted stuff above.

You could go to the BT speedtest site ( http://speedtester.BT.com/ ) and run a test from there. Post back the results.

It's possible that your profile has been dropped down. 0range do this if you exceed the monthly allowance.

The other issue is that the connection you're on is prone to severe strangulation during peak times as 0range haven't bought enough bandwidth from BT.

I think you need to talk to 0range Support, which is possibly BT support now.

If you've been throttled because of exceeding the usage limit then there's a time limit on that I think.

If it was because of line problems then they should be able to get BT to up the profile.

Well... here's to receiving a call from Wanadoo's legal department threatening to sue me over this site... Well... At least it should raise some awareness to the team leaders and the men (or women) at the top - because, on the phones, it is impossible to get put through to these people.
