Firewall / Anti-virus blocking the connection,
Livebox pairing mode (press 1 on the box so the antenna flashes),
Wrong WEP key entered (copy and paste from wired connection is best),
Signal problem (change wireless frequency),
Security compatibility (try no security to make sure it can connect then try WPA only and finally WEP only if that gives trouble).

Hello Elhana
How would I go about testing your last 2 ideas:
Signal problem (change wireless frequency),
Security compatibility (try no security to make sure it can connect then try WPA only and finally WEP only if that gives trouble).
I have tried out the others and it is still not working
Connect up the ethernet cable,
open 192.168.1.1 in internet explorer should give you a page on the livebox,
click the link and enter default login and pass as both "admin",
goto security > Wireless here you can check/copy the WEP key and change channel,
Security > associated devices will list paired devices yours not listed means it still needs to be paired,
Configuration > advanced > wireless lets you change security,
try no security first to establish the connection then try WPA only,
if that fails on WPA try WEP only.
