I ordered last sunday and was connected today before they said i would be connected, i now wish to cancel as after reading about the fair useage etc and the problems people have i feel mislead by what Orange are offering me, now that theyve connected me does this mean ive been tied into the 18 month contract and will no longer be able to leave or cancel without paying off the contract, or am i still within my rights to cancel within 7 days of ordering?

Ring & cancel, I think you'll find you have 30days anyway.

There's reference to a 30 day cancellation period from the time of registration in the terms & conditions.
