The last couple of days my download speed has been dreadful. 400Kbps in the day and 100Kbps in the late afternoon and evening. It used to be about 4 or 5 meg. My sync speed is over 6Mbps.
Anybody else having this problem?
They're also causing me pain because they've started blocking SMTP to external servers.
It looks like it's MAC time for me after 10 years with Freeserve, Wanadoo and Orange.

Orange have blocked port 25 to external SMTP servers for a VERY long time, to my knowledge ever since they were Freeserve.
When I was with Orange, to use the mail server at my hosting provider, their workaround was to use port 26. Other mail servers have the capability of accepting secure connections on port 465 (SSL) or 587 (TLS) and I have used those also as a workaround to overcome Orange's block on port 25. The only port block I know of is on port 25 but this is also the case on other ISP s.
It's not being deliberately awkward, it's just a Spam prevention measure, preventing viruses from connecting to external SMTP servers.

What does the BT Speedtester say? Could be your IP profile has gone way down for some reason. (I.E. not actually a problem with Orange at all).
