I've just been in touch with my brother-in-law in Peterborough. Their Virgin Media connection is completely useless by teatime on a weekday and all day at the weekend. Dial-up is faster.
It makes a number of the slow connections I read about on here look positively fast. They've been fobbed off by VM for several months, It makes Orange look positively helpful.
Myself. I went to BT to use the BTFON on my android phone. Apart from the torrent traffic shaping being positively draconian during evening/weekends I haven't got any other moans. However living 200m from the exchange has advantages.
