Have new laptop and can get wired connection to livebox but not wireless!?
Have typed in WEP key too many times to count - have been on http://192.168.1.1 and checked it and copy and pasted, have checked set as WEP security only but still wont except code!
Do i need to put box in paring mode? Worried will lose connection with old laptop and be left with no wireless service?
Also have just got new wireless printer and have similar issue - do i need to put in pairing mode for that too?
Please help going crazy!!!!
Yes, if your livebox requires pairing mode (button 1?), then you have to use it.
You have about 9-10minutes to establish a connection.
It will not affect your other connections as they are stored and not erased by entering pairing mode.

thanks - i did the pairing - and have now sorted new laptop but other laptop now has no connection and says security settings no longer match!!
Do you think i have to redo connections on both laptops whilst in pairing?!

I have added 3+laptops to my livebox and never had to go back and redo one.
Perhaps it is a "feature" of your livebox?
So, yes, redo the first one, if the second is lost, redo them both....let us know what happens!
The livebox accepted connections should be listed in status>localnetwork.
