I'm sure someone will know the answer to this. I have a freserve email adress I have had for many years. If I leave Orange for another BB provider can I keep using the @freeserve.co.uk address? Thanks
Should not be a problem. I have never used Orange as my broadband provider, but I am still using the freeserve address I picked up back in the days of dial-up connection. You just have to make sure you keep it alive - it will go dormant if you don't use it for a time (I think it's 90 days). Very occasionally I still use dial-up to pick up mail when i am away from home, and that does the trick. As far as I can tell, using Webmail occasionally works too. If all else fails and it goes dormant, you can revive it by going into the Orange site and starting the procedure as if you are transferring your account details to a new PC - just stop when you reach the stage where it invites you to download all the settings onto your (non-existent) new machine. But don't leave it too long - if you do eventually it will die.
Note that you will still use the same server for your incoming mail, but you will need to change the account settings use the outgoing server provided by your new ISP.
