I have a Livebox which is hardwired to my PC. My son has a Laptop which is wireless through the Livebox.
Recently we bought our daughter a laptop (Windows 7) and tried to connect to the Livebox. We can get as far as the laptop seeing the livebox but when entering the key, cannot connect. I have tried pressing the wireless button for 5 secs but no success.
Next I tried factory resetting the livebox and now neither laptop can connect wirelessly......... any ideas????
Bad luck, connecting laptops can be a nightmare.
I presume you mean you are pressing the pairing button? The pairing light should flash on and off and you then get about 9 minutes to establish a connection.
Have you typed the wep key in correctly? O/0 is a common mistype.
have you got it set for wep or wap or both?
Do the laptops have a connection button to press as well?
These are all problems I've had with laptops.

When I press the pairing button the light does not flash.
I have tried all the other things you have suggested.
I am thinking of just ringing Orange and asking for a new Livebox
