I thought I would post the question again as I see 139 people have read my previous post and only 1 reply (thanks). I am sure I can't be the only one using the VOIP phone system with poor to unusable quality.
Hi,
I understand your frustration with the poor quality.
I don't know the answer, but I would like the opportunity to find out what the quality is like, but my service failed 7 weeks ago, and I have been fighting to get it back ever since.
If it's any help, I have read similar complaint to yours on other forums, and the general opinion seems to be "that's how it is". I find that difficult to believe, but just keep complaining to Orange. Maybe they will come up with a solution if you manage to speak to the right person.
Good luck
I am using the Talk/VOIP service and find the quality pretty good, not as good as a normal BT landline but better than my previous PC based VOIP solution. I still use VOIPcheap for international calls, although the rates have taken a hike recently, the callback serviceis as good as the livebox VOIP quality.
I am using DECT phones connected to the Livebox, maybe a hardwired phone would give better quality. Overall not bad quality for 'free' despite spending £70pm on my Orange mobile, waiting for 3 weeks to get the Talk service active, 8 weeks to get CS to sort out my voicemail PIN, and I am still getting billed for calling Orange numbers, despite being on the Max package, registering my mobile phone with CS twice. The member centre online is hopeless, I have never been ableto get anything done there.
