Ive been a Freeserve, Wanadoo and now Orange broadband customer for years.
On the 6th October i took out another contract with Orange as instead of paying £24 a month, i could pay £19.50 for the same package. Or so i thought.
Since taking out the contract my broadband speed has been an average of 0.7mb and with a download speed of 96kpbs.
Ive made several calls to Orange who have ran me through various different procedures in an attempt to get the speed up and none of them have worked. They are blaming the fact im quite far from the exchange. Yet in another street, 250 metres further from the exchange, people are getting 15mb !!!
After getting sick of speaking to people in India i asked to be put through to the cancellation line.
Spoke with some numpty who said i have to pay £94 cancellation fee.
Yet when i took the contract out i had 30 days.
The numpty said that i had waivered the 30 days as i had upgraded.
I basically no longer want to be with Orange and any advice on how to cancel would be appreciated.
I asked to speak to a manager and was told there isn;t one and that i would get a call back tomorrow.
