My wanadoo broadband problems have been minor so I report my existing problem and also hopefully offer some words of encouragement for the more frustrated out there. I have been using a LIVEBOX for well over a year - no problems at all setting up one wired and one wireless connection (since extended to two wired and up to two wireless). I have a number of devices on my phone line and I know that outside the line is held together with a temporary repair and wrapped with insulation tape. I live in an old Victorian stone property and have been disappointed by the range of the Livebox which with some non inventel wireless adapters has been virtually 'line of sight' only. I have recently replaced the Livebox by a Netgear wireless router which has improved the range and signal strength (my son installed the Netgear in approx 20 minutes) even using the Inventel adapter. No problems with wired connections on the Livebox or Netgear but on my laptop the wireless connection drops if unused for more than a few minutes. Everything looks fine and shows as connected with very good signal strength. To revive the connection I go to Outlook Express and select send/receive a few times and everything is fine until the next time. Any thoughts on the dropped connection (showing as connected) appreciated otherwise for other problems I would support those who suggest removing all other devices on the line, checking that wired connections are ok and checking wired connections by trying right next to the Livebox - suggested range is shall we say alittle optimistic
