I've tried writing or replying to emails from the Orange web page from an @orange.net account but I don't get an option to add text. The send facility works but without any text, why bother? Orange CS accessed my account and sent me a test message which they said meant the problem was with my pc/laptop. They suggested I try to access another pc/laptop but dont have access to one.

We are having the same problem, it started last Thursday. The email page is full of adverts from Orange and like you say will not open to be able to write a message.
Other people are having the same issues on here and have posted it under different Topic titles. I think Briony first started the Topics last week and has had numerous replies.
Orange are blaming other people but I think the problem is with their software.
Same here, noticed it last Friday. Seems maybe related to the unsafe connection messages i keep getting when I access webmail. Does seem ok on alternative computer but that's no explanation as to why it's happening on this one (a MAC). As a temporary measure I've sent emails with the message as an attachment but it's a pain. Am pretty technically clueless so would welcome any help.

Any suggestions?
Logged in using Mozilla Firefox and able to type text in email. Had been using Google Chrome with no issues the last four months so issue is Orange's as they have not completed the correct software rewrite when they changed their email page
It sounds like your browsers are using cached portions of the old Orange email page. Try clearing your browsers cache or using a different one, this should rule out any local issues.

My email is working again, however it is the old style page. Orange admitted a problem and their tech guys were working on a solution. Seems they simply reverted back to the old page!
Seems to be working again this morning on the old page. This is my first experience of an online tech problem-solving community. Many many thanks for being there. Hopeless without.
