Moved from o2 (now Sky) (who I've had a reliable broadband service from for 4-5 years) to Orange recently and I'm appalled by the service I'm getting from Orange.
I only moved because I have taken a new mobile phone contract with Orange and they convinced me to swap everything over.
First I had an issue with my password which was down to a language barrier between myself and the Indian call centre. I got it working for x2 days then somehow between BT & Orange they managed to cutoff the broadband alltogether...which left me nothing for another week.
Now it's back up and running..I'm getting very slow speeds of around ~500kb/sec when on o2 (now Sky) I've had 2.2Mb/sec for years.
Every time I phone I speak to somebody different and have to go through the whole story again and I'm basically at the end of my patience with all of this.
I have posted my speed check results and some broadband stats as per other posts. Can anybody see any issues with noise etc?
I know when I first joined o2 (now Sky) they had to do some tweeking..but this was done over the phone within 5mins and it was great for the last 5 years!
Any help would be very much appreciated.
BROADBAND STATS
Using the latest Netgear 'N' Router
Trying my best to post results from BT Speedtester - But my broadband is even worse now in that I can't even log onto the BTspeedtest website to do a test.
Internet is still live and I can just about get onto google...but even loading up hotmail takes a lifetime and it just crashes out.
I left o2 (now Sky) because Orange sold me a deal which was supposed to have a better wireless router than what I had and £2.50 cheaper per month than what I was paying. As per usual - the customer ends up being the fool.
I will have to phone Orange today and if I get nowhere I'm going to start contacting consumer direct & trading standards.
I'm leaving Orange now....can't be doing with all this anymore.
Joining Sky as they are LLU and my neighbours broadband is running at 1.86mb/sec with no issues on Sky.
I read aswell that Sky moved all their services back to BT earlier this year and I've had many bad experiences with BT in the past and this just adds to the list.
