My internet connection through a wanadoo livebox has recently gone down. The internet was working absolutely fine, the PC (windows XP) was shut down and upon the next use, the internet wouldn't connect.
All the lights on the livebox indicate a connection, I have the LAN connection status as active, the actual internet status seems connected, however connection speed and duration are 'Not Available' in the properties neither are the packets sent and received.
I have unplugged, reset the livebox, checked all cables and moved the livebox to another location in the house. Pretty much everything short of a reinstall - which is the last thing I can think of, which I haven't tried yet.
My MAC Powerbook can receive the wireless signal, but has the same problem, no internet connection. I have checked all the livebox settings, nothing has changed, have turned off all internet security and firewalls. Still the same situation.
I have pinged the livebox and that seemed fine, but still no ability to view web pages.
I would really appreciate any ideas or advice anyone can offer.
