Some changes have been made to the Orange e-mail site and today I find that I cannot write anything on the e-mail as the space seems to have disappeared. I use a MAC and don't know if this is the issue as I was able to write an e-mail at work from a pc, accessing Orange remotely.
Hi Briony,
exactly the same issue here, it happened yesterday too but resolved itself somehow and now its occurring again this morning. It also affected my PC using colleagues but not today.
Can only hope they fix........let me know how you get on.

I have the same problem, ie. no space to write a message.
Spent 30 mins on phone to Orange only to be told it was not there fault and it was a problem with Google Chrome. Seems the top third and bottom third of the page is full of advertising from Orange with no space left for the email.
Anybody get any more information as I feel it is an issue with the Orange software.
Exactly the same glitch ... no space for text on Orange Webmail. Have tried in both Firefox and Safari on my MAC with no joy. Still - I just put the essence of the message in the subject bar - good discipline for tight writing!
In other forums it was suggested it was something to do with Google Chrome but obviously that's not the case.
It's Orange'S problem ... and not a browser issue.
have got same problem. i use google chrome so tried accessing using Internet Explorer and got the older page with room for the text. when i tried to add a contact I had to bring them up in google chrome and copy and paste to be able to send the email...clearly this is something Orange have done and need to sort it out.
Doesnt matter what operating system or browser you have.
The text on incoming emails are not added to the reply.
They are loosing incoming e-mails when you reply to them, they are not added to sent emails but are lost from your inbox.
if i had inadvertently had deleted them they should be in deleted, but they are not ,Orange will not tell you the truth, from my prevously weekly dealings with them.
week by week they get worse normally they blame microsoft, apple, the browser or even your cookies.
I'm getting exactly the same. I use Chrome so I thought it was a problem with the browser. So I tried IE8 but that never even brought up the e-mail when I clicked on it in the Inbox - just sat there for several minutes. Reading some of the other posts about webmail deleting messages from the Inbox when you reply and not storing the reply in Sent Items, perhaps it's a good thing that I can't reply. I'd best stick to my Outlook Express (not that I can get that to work with Orange's SMTP server either but that's another story...)
And where's the link to complain about all this - it seems that's been removed too.
Andrew.

Have exactly the same problem with email no space to write on new emails or replying.I use a MAC but hotmail seemed to have no problem on same computer.Any solutions?
Exactly the same problem with me. I'm currently visiting Australia and forced to use webmail to access my Freeserve mail Using a borrowed MAC the problem occurs. Managed to borrow a PC today and that was OK. I have e-mailed Orange who advised "The problem that you mention is related to updates to our mail system and the possible retention of pages relating to the service on the system or systems that you're using. To resolve the issue it's imperative that you make sure that all caches, cookies and temp files associated with the Orange domain and its webmail service are deleted." But I've done this and it has not solved the problem. My wife's Talktalk mail is working OK on the MAC. Is this just a MAC problem?
I had the same email from Orange about deleting cookies, hasn't worked and I still cant reply or write emails. I have emailed them via their support pages and am awaiting a response.

My email is now working again, I complained about it again to Orange and explained that the page was full of their adverts. Orange admitted they had a problem and that their tech guys were working on a solution. Might have been a co-incidence but yesterday morning my email page had reverted to the old style page that had been changed last Thursday and it has worked ok since.
