Hi we joined wanadoo when they were offering the upto 8meg service which we later found out is only of use in london, leeds, bristol n other major cities, buti'm wondering now that it's been rebranded to Orange, will we get upgraded when either the exchange is llu'd or adsl max'd as i get the feeling they'll just say we're on the starter package and so not entitled to it.
Here is a thing for call centre staff.
'We'll launch IPSM to approximately 2000 customers at the begriming of September. From October all new customers will be put on IPSM (IP STREAM MAX) if it's available to them if they're not in an LLU area. In November we'll then begin to upgrade all of our existing 2 meg customers on to IPSM '
so expect to bu put omtp ADSL Max in november some time. They say it has taken them so long because they wanted to ensure that it can offer their customers the best service.
Firstly I have to say I have not had any problems with Freeserve/Wanadoo/Orange other than when I first went onto Broadband and the problem turned out to be a duff Livebox. But is that about to change? I have just received a letter from Orange to say on 19th October I am to receive a speed upgrade and my internet connection witll be down for approx 1/2 hour between 0800 and 1800. Am I one of the 2000? or am I just going to have problems? Any ideas.
