Not sure if this is the best place to post this, however here goes,
I have recently setup a Facebook Group to hopefully get Orange (UK) to change their policy when it comes to preloaded software on branded handsets.
The latest Android handsets appear to come with all kinds of useless apps that not only take up valuable space on the internal memory, but also creates additional icons within the menu system.
These programs cannot be removed.
Following on from the recent Vodafone debacle, I believe that it is time for Orange (UK) to take a similar view and give subscribers the opportunity to remove their branded software or alternatively remove it with an update and then give subscribers the choice of installing the software via the Android Marketplace.
If you also believe that this is a good idea then please join the Facebook Group. The more people that join, then more chance we stand of getting Orange (UK) to amend their current policy.
The link for the Facebook Group is in my signature.
Thanks for listening / reading this.
