If Wanadoo don't provide you with the service you want, then it's simple just cancel your direct debits and write to them to tell them you're cancelling and why.
If they owe you money where you have paid a direct debit and had no service, then talk to your bank and ask them to get the money back for you under the driect debit guarantee, Barclays got all my money back for me.
Wanadoo can't hold you into a 12 month contract if they can't provide you with the service, don't let call centre people tell you you can't cancel, it is rubbish, you do not have to pay for something if it doesn't work.
Don't let them blame BT for their problems either.
The Liveboxes in my experience don't work, I had 3 of them, my computer expert doesn't rate them, I know they're free, but you get less hassle just buying your own suitable modem from a respected company like Linksys.
Don't waste time and effort phoning Wanadoo, you will get no-where. I wasted nearly twenty hours of my life and £35 on the phone to them.
I told Wanadoo I wanted out and wouldn't take no for an answer. 10 days later I had my first broadband service for 3 months with Eclipse, who have been superb. I never did manage to get on-line for more than 20 minutes with Wanadoo.
Get out now and sign up to an ISP that works, one in the top 5 providers, like Eclipse or Metronet, they are a few pounds more a month, but you get what you pay for. I've had no Problems ever after 4 months with Eclipse.
