Some of the emails I am sending are not arriving at their destination. At the moment it looks like 50% are getting through and the others not. I am not getting any message to say unable to send emails - just relying on people I am sending to letting me know. I did 4 test emails to my work address - 1 sent on Saturday never turned up and the others got through straight away. Please can someone help me - I have not changed any email settings and my email address ends in freeserve.co.uk. Wondering if this is a common problem at the moment - can't believe I am the only one affected. Would appreciate if their board is moderated by someone from Orange if they can contact me. Please help - one very frustrated Orange user!!
As of this morning, I have had nothing in my Orange inbox all day. Normally, I have over 200 emails (mostly spam). Orange are 'looking into it'
Fortunately, I have been able to redirect my emails to TalkTalk (yes, between the Devil and the deep blue, I know). Meanwhile, who knows what is caught up in my Orange account?
Does anyone know if TalkTalk is the lesser of two evils for the future or not?

Hi! I am having the same problem- it's SO annoying- no emails have arrived since this morning and Orange have just told me that it could take 3-5 working days to sort out! I just wondered, did they tell you anything more helpful than that, and also how did you get your emails redirected to another account? I didn't know you could do that! Also, I can tell you that TalkTalk IS better- I have had broadband with them for a few years and there is hardly ever a problem and when there is, they are MUCH more helpful and easier to get hold of than Orange, who are like talking to a brick wall! Anyway I would be very grateful if you could let me know anything you find out about this problem, and how you were able to redirect your emails! Thank you!

I can do it 'cos I use domains connected to my web sites, which allow email to be forwarded and I have two broadband accounts (Orange & TalkTalk). Thus, say, info@mywebsite.com is forwarded to my Orange email. Outlook then picks it up from there. Outlook adds the appropriate 'from address' to outgoing mail and sends it via my Orange address.
All I have done is to change the email forwarding on my hosting package to my talkTalk a/c. Nobody mails me direct to my Orange address, except for the odd spammer, so all is well.
Same problem for me. No emails received today, although I know that there should have been many. Also no emails sent by me today have reached their recipient. After 30 minutes discussion with Orange support I was advised to wait between 24 and 48 hours and then try email again! No technical explanation. Lucky I don't have to rely on Orange email to run a business.
My emails to hotmail, tiscali and ntl are not arriving. Some of the addresses are on circulation lists and the others are receiving them with no problems.
am sick to death of this - none of my recent (business) emails to 'hotmail' or AOL actually arrive; they don't get 'bounced' back to me, what happens to them?
Am seriously tempted to change ISP, having been with Orange since Freeserve days (simply fear of something worse, and at least there is help on this forum) as this is now causing embarrassment and difficulty. It does seem sad that we can't rely on current technology to actually do what it says on the tin - and no, I haven't rung the 'helpline' as I cannot bear the inevitable hassle.
Does anyone know how to ensure that emails arrive? Without, that is, having to make inconvenient phone calls to check.
Yesterday's emails started arriving at around 08:00 this morning. As far as I can tell none are lost, but I am seriously considering changing ISP after this. (I have also been a loyal customer since early Freeserve days, but loyalty doesn't count for much these days).
I am really fed up with the service from Orange. I have complained about Emails that do not get through to GMX Hotmail and Tiscali, but they just say that they cannot look at individual lost Eamil cases. It is obvious that it is a wide problem, causing severe problems to many. You would think after yeras of the same problem that they would sort it out. I think that trading standards is the only way forward. Any suggestions about how we can get our collective complaint heard would be apprciated.
found out yesterday that even more of our emails have not arrived - we seem to receive most of them, no-one receives ours! Does the 'Response Team' know or care? No interest from 'Jonathan', whose replies requesting details sent for his personal attention (!) I frequently note. Do we know who 'Jonathan' is - a real person, or as I imagine, a fictitious genie conjured up to make us feel better with the illusory idea that someone from Orange may do something.
Am even more seriously considering changing ISP!
