Two days ago my Wanadoo email just stopped working. I type in my log in details and it searches for the page and then shows that it cannot find the webpage. It is happening on two computers and all other websites are fine. Is this general?,Have they suspended my account like last year (no warning received)?
Can anyone help?
thanks

I have exactly the same problem. When I try to log in to webmail it goes to this page http://email.orange.co.uk/serv...AILWELCOME which says Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage.
Interestingly, when I try and log in using an incorrect password it tells me the password is wrong - so Orange's computer obviously knows the account exists and what the passsword is.
So Orange's computer knows the account exists and lets me go through the restore and change password procedures but I can't log in to webmail! Have tried on several computers - same result.
I have another wanadoo account which I can access perfectly, so it is something odd about this one account in particular, not a generic wanadoo problem.

Call them up, tell them you get PCBD on your webmail, ask them to escalate it to FSD noting team and give them permission to access your account to fix it. Should take a couple of days.

Wow, that was quick! Thanks, will try it. What is PCBD please?

Thanks. I rang Orange tech support and spoke to an Indian. After 15 minutes I finally persuaded him the problem was not with my computer. I asked him to try logging in to my account so he could see for himself what the problem was but he said he did not have access to the internet!!! Anyway, he said he'd escalate the problem and it would be fixed in a few days...
And there lies 0range's true problems. I was able to tell you how to fix it within a few seconds of reading your post, without any access to your account, yet the ridiculous Indian call centre don't have a clue after being told what the problem is, and how to fix it.

I hope he sent it to the correct department.
We shall see!
I have another problem in the making - a real Catch 22. I set up a Freeserve account 10 years or more ago but entered random data in the personal details. As far as I can see there is no way to get into the account online to view those details, let alone edit and correct them. But if I ring Orange about the account they will only talk to me if I can tell them the name and date of birth recorded in the account details - which I can't, despite having used the email account and webspace for 10 years.
Use the link above, supply as much information about the account as you can.
Thanks for the link - I will try it. I have the email address and password, and use the email account all the time, it's the original personal details that I enetered when I set up the account - i.e. surname, first name and DOB - that I don't know.
