i received this email from Orange today
Thank you for your email.
I can advise you that Orange is currently aware of issue affecting
customers, whereby some ISPs have blocked emails sent from Orange
servers as Spam.
This matter has been escalated to the highest department and they're in
contact with the blacklisting agencies to resolve this issue. We do not
currently have a timescale for resolution.
Please accept our sincere apologies if this is causing any inconvenience
and we also thank you for your patience in this matter.
this does not appear to me to be a very professional reply from 'Orange'.
Who exactly comprises the 'highest department', what authority do they have?
Currently having no timescale for resolution is simply unacceptable - if this has been 'escalated' (don't you just love customer service speak, we were doing this stuff 40 years ago!!!) and Orange cannot obtain resolution from other suppliers, then why is their legal department not taking up cudgels on behalf of Orange subscibers - ie those of us who are paying money to a company for a service which we are not receiving.
In the real world, services which do not provide the facilities for which one is paying have to make financial recompense.

I wouldnt hold your breaths... this issue has been going on since 2006.
videotron have blocked Orange on and off for years and since februrary this year. Even if its fixed itll only be temporary unless Orange sort out the spam issue once and for all.
