I am on an Orange "up to 20mbit" package, recently I received my router and associated equipment.
Before moving to Orange I was with BT option 3 and was hitting around 6Mbit. Time to plug in the live box and my speed dropped to 2mbit ! (Connecting wirelessly both times)
Been having crap speeds for a while now, and was getting narked at the indians canned response, so I took action, I'd still got the BT Home hub and decided to link the Orange live box and the home hub together via ethernet and enabled DMZ between them obviously the live box isnt N enabled where as the HomeHub is.
Glad to now say that I have more coverage and a faster wireless connection:
As of this morning these are my stats
and my live box stats:
ADSL firmware version : A2pBT009c1.d17d
Connection mode : ADSL2+
Type : Fast
Noise margin (dB) : 9.9
Attenuation (dB) : 3.0
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 21424
ADSL status : Connected [0]
Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 20521 1288
Obviously I have to use the live box for the second line service so there are not many more options to explorer here.
I've just got my new Livebox ~ not impressive and have a BT Homehub2 which I would like to use to provide switching and N access. What did you actually do to set it up? being a novice step by step instructions would be helpful.
