I have seen that there are several posts on this topic and would just like to add my frustrated post to this forum as well.
Both my husband and I have got hotmail accounts and have been with Orange ever since it started as Freeserve. We don't receive any emails sent from Orange / Freeserve / Wanadoo.fr in our hotmail accounts.
I have been on the hotmail boards where a windowlivehelp person told me to contact Orange. Part of his answer:
I suggest that you visit you get in touch with the administrator of Orange and let him/her visit this solution article and follow the steps under "If you are the 3rd party Domain Administrator" to know how to resolve this issue:
Just don't know what to do - apart from perhaps now making it the time to find another ISP as I had something similar happening last year when some really important emails sent from the freeserve account did not get to their recipients?
Surely there must be something that Orange can and should do!
smtp.orangehome.co.uk (the sending server) has an ip address of: 193.252.22.134 If you check this with the blacklist checker at http://whatismyipaddress.com/b...list-check you will discover that it is listed with at least 6 anti spam databases including some at sorbs.net.
The same is true of the six other ip addresses associated with the domain.
This would explain why some emails are not being delivered to their recipients as numerous receiving mail servers use these databases to filter out spam.
Most worryingly one of the databases is: spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net. To understand why this is worrying, here is the criteria for getting listed there:
"spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net is the final step in the spam blacklists. spam.dnsbl.sorbs.net contains all data from old.dnsbl.sorbs.net, which in turn contains all the data in recent.dnsbl.sorbs.net and new.dnsbl.sorbs.net. These are generally offenders that have no intention of stopping spam, and will continue to be a burden on the inboxes of email users the world over. These hosts have further not made any effort to ask for delisting of any kind from SORBS".
