Hi all,
just found this forum whilst searching for an answer, didnt really find one so here it is.
I play modern warfare 2 on PS3 - sometimes the connection is great - 3-4 bars on the in-game connection chart but sometimes the connection drops off to 1 bar and it becomes unplayable.
in the PS3 main menu internet speed test, it shows download speeds of about 5mb when the connection is good (8mb broadband)
when the connection is crap, this drops to about 10% of this - 5-600kbs.
can anybody shed any light on this? it is annoying as hell.
the PS3 connects wirelessly to an Apple Airport Express which is less that 30 cm away from it! The Airport is wired to the livebox in the other room. (airport is a music streamer, and acts as a second router/extender)
I'd have cable internet if our estate was cabled. Been here coming up 6 years (new build) and it was never cabled. But i've been with Orange 4 years and i'm going off them.
