You will find that Orange and wannadoo, stop all traffic relating to port 25 for smtp access, that is why a lot of people that use their own email servers cannot send through them, if this is the case, contact your webhosting company that give the email servers and tell them to allow the email server to listen on a port other than 25, then configure your email program to send to that port number and everything will be fine.
I had this problem, it's annoying i don't understand why they've done this.
However, instead of asking your webhosting company to open another port in some cases you may be able to get it to work by changing to an encrypted connection as these use different ports that will already be open at your webhosts servers. I have mine set to Auto in outlook and it's fixed the problem. Good luck.
