This may be of use to someone out there !
I had very slow connection problems and long waits on certain websites after Orange upgraded me to the 8 MB package. Other sites like msn.com and Google were still fast and working OK.
This has gone on for the last month so I have been in contact with technical support level 1 and 2 but they couldn't help me and in disgust I phoned Customer Services to cancel my contract ... Needless to say, I met with a brick wall, but the girl I spoke to (called Abbey) just happened to ask which browser I was using, so I told her IE8. She advised me to try one of the others and I gave Firefox a go ............. Eureka, every page is loading like lightening !! Why did it take a girl in accounts to tell me to try this when the technical dept had failed on all accounts, and IS there a conflict with IE8 and the Orange 8MB package ? I wonder.
I'm on an up to 8 MB package and have been using IE8 since it came out - with no problems whatsoever, so the issue must be with your own computer/connection.
It's one of the first things someone will suggest if you're having trouble loading websites.... try another browser.
