Hello I recently upgraded my broadband to the 8meg service (what speed im actually getting im not sure of) and I have been having problems ever since! previously, I was using the old speedtouch modem with a wired connection and was running XP on my PC. With that setup, everything was fine-until i upgraed my PC and package. I now have windows 7, and because i couldnt get a driver for the speedtouch, am using the livebox. I always seem to lose connection now. I can't understand it as surely all that has changed is the modem i'm using? Several calls to Orange later their best answer is to restart my PC!
Thats not all, seeing as I had a new PC and new router I thought I would try using the wireless connection, couldnt get it set up as the WEP i was entering was being rejected (even though i had it exactly right) again a call to Orange solved nothing and they told me to set up a wired connection instead!
Please help, if any1 has any ideas on what I could do it would be greatly appreciated.
thanks, il have a read at that and see if i can find anything. Ive been having a read around and seen afew people mentioning the Upnp but i have no idea where I can find the option to disable it. I did find that there was a power saver on the router that seemingly was switching it off at certain times
Yea was using the pairing button, the fault seems to be with the WEP code, (possibly a faulty livebox?) because my PC finds it no problem but its actually getting it connected that the issue is with.
