My 90 year old father in-law switched to Sky broadband after having been originally with Freeserver, then Wannadoo and then Orange.
Each switch to Wannadoo and Orange was made without any contract being signed it just happened automatically.
After getting his MAC code he disconnected Orange and is now using the Sky broadband box. Now Orange are calling him, being agggressive to his 85 year old wife and chasing for £140 for an ongong 12 month contract bill.
How is it possible that any legitimate company can claim charges in advance for broadband access, hassle a 90 year old man and his wife and be so nasty and tedious to extort money from a long standing customer?
Please if anyone has any information to share or comment to make I would be extremely grateful. I am in the process of adding my name to my father in-laws account to persue this through citizens advice or watchdog etc but meanwhile any help would be appreciated.
