This is more of a notification to all users who may have been having the same problem.
Having owned the Livebox mini for 6 months, and "constantly" having issues with my 2nd line i.e. nearly everyday i would need to reset the livebox to get the 2nd line working again. At the begining of every day i would fail to get the dial tone , or after dialling the number, the phone would go dead.. or incomming phone calls would only be heard, but they couldn`t hear me.
After "2" replacement Livebox Mini`s, uncountable "Livebox RESETS" and an unbeleivable amount of time on the phone with Orange Broadband customer service, i have managed to locate the problem myself.
"IN MY CASE THE CAUSE WAS MY SONY PLAYSTATION 3 AUTOMATICALLY SIGNING IN TO THE PLAYSTATION NETWORK"
I have no idea why.. It was luck that my daughter didn`t turn on the PS3 for 4 days (it`s on daily ).. but i then realised i had no issues with my phone.. When you get 4 days of use out of the 2nd line in my house it`s a revelation.
So i then turned off "automatic sign-in to the PS network from my PS3".
and hey-presto... Phone works every-day , all day.. That was 6 weeks ago.
Now, i could be an incompatibility with my DECT phones, or it could just be coincidence that Orange released a firmware at the exact time i switched off automatic sign-in to the Sony Network.
Right now, i don`t care.. i don`t have to have any more discussion with Orange Broadband about it.. it works, and i`m now happy.
This it just to let any other users out there who may have similar problems.. this worked for me..
