No longer a problem as its fixed, but I was convinced all the time the problem existed that it was a Livebox issue. Two machines using Three different browsers and different AV and firewalls cannot both screw up at the same time. I could not connect to at least Three sites on both machines. It took four calls to Orange, Three of which were a waste of time, before I got someone who actually knew his job and admitted there was an issue. Told me to turn off security on the Livebox, and the reinstate it. Guess what, it worked.
So this may be useful to anyone else who may get similar problems.
