I have had my livebox ever since wanadoo became Orange and never had a problem until recently when I have been having issues with my livebox for a few weeks, it keeps resetting itself every few hours.
I have a switch connected to the red Ethernet port on it but didn't have any problems at all with it until recently, and I have had the switch for over 6 months now.
I run my xbox 360, Printer and Desktop wired up and have a backup wireless connection for the desktop if needs be.
I have an additional desktop which is connected by wireless as well as a laptop and iPod Touch.
All worked fine until a few weeks ago when the connection would disappear. I spoke to Orange technical support and they basically got me to hard reset the router, this did not solve the problem, they also sent me out a new power adapter and this has not solved the issue either.
Does anyone else have a similar version? I have the latest firmware for the livebox and I check most weeks to see if it is still the case.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who has had the same problem, or has the same problem.
I was having similar problems a few months ago (after being problem-free for about a year).
IMO, it seems the Livebox has a shelf-life of about 12 months. Ask for a replacement if you can. Tell Orange that it's not working at all i.e. no lights are coming on; they should send you another one. That's what I said, and the new one was working perfectly.
I'm going to be on 02 in a few days time, so it's goodbye to Orange - no more sh!t customer service anymore
