Our Livebox appears to have a limit of six connections, 4 wireless and 2 wired. If we try to add a new PC or other device to the network it fails for an unknown reason. We then have to manually go into the livebox setup page and delete a device.
The live box is also in the kitchen which means we can't connect the wired ports to anywhere.
Is there a way to increase the limit on how many things we can connect to the internet? We now have 3 PC's and 2 Games consoles which all require connecting but can't. Also is this a limit with the broadband package or just the livebox?
I had the same problem. Bought 2 Homeplugs to connect one PC to the Livebox ethernet port, still leaving the 4 wireless ports available. Homeplugs use the mains wiring to carry the signals. Still working flawlessly after 12 months.
6 is the maximum to have connected at any one time but you can have more devices in the list than that.
You should be able to use the device addresses from the list to find out which is which. Most wireless adapters have the address printed on them somewhere, if not you can find them within the settings usually. For windows if you check the connection status and go into details it'll have the physical address, which is what you can compare.
