For the first time in 2 years I've had dial up broadband problems over the last week where the connection fails with a user name and password not valid on this domain message. Several attemps to conntact Orange tech support, one time I sat on the line for over 2 hours with no response. It seems to have cleared itself now, but can any one tell me what went wrong and if something goes wrong again whats the point of having a tech support line if you cant get through to them?
I have had the same problem 3 times in the past couple of weeks and I am thoroughly fed up. I object to the fact I get an error message which is totally false - there is nothing wrong with my user name and password. I also object to paying for a service which is not available. Presumably they are having server problems. I have emailed them but have had no reply. If this continues I shall vote with my feet and go elsewhere.
I wonder if anyone from Orange will have the courage to respond!!!
I have had this problem most days for the last two weeks. I lose my connection late afternoon, sometimes I can connect again straight away, sometimes it takes Three or four goes.
Yesterday was by far the worst, I just couldn't get back on again, I must have tried two dozen times during the evening, every time getting the user name/password error message.
I tried to phone Orange Customer Service(!) and in the end gave up.
I agree. late afternoon is the worst time and, as this is when I prefer to use the internet, it is an absolute pain. Is usually about 2 hours before I can get online. I might feel better if I had an explanation as to what the problem is and how long it is going to last.
Orange seem to think if they ignore us we will go away!
