A Powell works for the livebox distributors. My name is Stenning.
As you can see, these morons at Parcelfarce couldn't find their backsides with both hands and a GPS, let alone an A-Z mapbook. THis DESPITE being instructed to redeliver today, the 26th.
Having poken to their person at the Charlton depot, they only hold items for 14 days?! why then, did they NOT inform me of this when I phoned them to arrange redelivery for today?
Having phoned Orange BB immediately thereafter to try to get them to send another livebox, this time using a different delivery service, I was informed that this was not possible, and it HAD to be ParcelFARCE.
WHY?
WHY use a bunch of idiots that can't find an address that other delivery services have had no problems in finding in the twelve years that I've lived at this address?
Can someone please explain the logic of this to me, because I'm about ready to go suborbital in rage at the complete waste of my time that I've had to arrange - only for the halfwits at charlton to cost me MORE money in arranging a day off to receive the parcel that two days ago was returned to sender?!?!?!
10-07-2006 18:01 Charlton Depot Cannot locate address
10-07-2006 15:10 Charlton Depot Addressee cannot be located
That sounds about right.
I was waiting for a parcel one time. Postman came. All he delivered was a card, "Sorry you were unavailable when we tried to deliver your parcel".
I was bl**dy in waiting for it!
Phoned the number on the card and told them the postie had just delivered the card with the same date, time was about 5 minutes away , and they arranged for redelivery 3 days later.
3 days went past. Nothing. Phoned again the next day and was told it had been returned to depot. It never left.
This time I went and collected it myself.

I haveing the same trouble Orange gave me a tracking number tjat doesnt work twice. Then they told me they cant find the livebox then they told me to ring back later.
I live in a parcelfarce mitcham area so I have had over 50% of my packages lost or stolen in the last 6 years. And yes, parcelfarce mitcham makes Orange look efficient.
Before ordering an Orange phone and broadband I phoned them to check they do not use parcelfarce, I was assured it would be parcel line so I placed the order (kicking myself everyday since for such poor judgement on my part). Phone arrived parcel line but I am still waiting for the modem that can only be delivered parcelfarce and must be to my home, an address parcelfarce have been unable to find in 6 years.
End of progress.
I stated on the order "not via parcelforce", I only asked one question of them and they got it wrong. I, however now have to pay £215 to buy myself out of contract or accept no broadband for the next few months until I can get them to the small claims court.
if anyone knows a way to get out of my 12 month contract I would love to know. I sort of believe they have a contract with me to provide broadband as their part of the contract.
And please please do not waste your time phoning Orange, write a letter, send recorded delivery (costs £1). Unless you log every single telephone call with names and dates and a record of the conversation it is no use in court, no use to ofcom, watchdog etc. Letters recorded delivery cannot be ignored or denied at a later date by Orange. They proberbly wont be answered either but this helps in court.
Thats my rant over,
Chicken - Parcelfarce mitcham sufferer, ex NTL customer and now, unfortunately an Orange broadband customer.
Usually they have a limited number of attempts to try and send you the livebox, and should I believe be able to re-order it to a different address. But for that it would need to go through escalations, standard team for if the parcel is returned or "lost".
Normally its 3 attempts at delivery. But that means parcelfarce have to put a card thru the door. No card means they didnt actually turn up to the correct address so it doesnt count as an attempted delivery.
Once you have the card you can phone parcelfarce up and have it delivered to a post office where you can pick it up at your leisure, the hard part is getting parcelfarce to attempt a delivery to the right house
ops - completely forgot to update this - following the abysmal showing on their forst attempt, ParceFarce finally got it right on the second attempt Having phoned their Charlton depot manager the same working day as the package arrived in their national hub up at (iirc) coventry, I found myself waking up to a knock on the door at 08:10 the next day - my livebox was delivered
Just goes to show - a snottygram, followed by a furious phone call and a demand to speak to the manager often works wonders
