I recentley switched over ISP from Virgin to Orange on the 24th November, at first I was very happy with the speed of my connection, 2365 kbps download and 676 upload.
This was a great improvement over the speeds that I was getting from Virgin, but my joy was soon short lived... Im now limping along at 238kbps
I have contacted Orange and was fobbed off with they are testing the line and to expect this for a week or so.
Its now 4th December, I have contacted them again and provided them with 3 various speed tests.. They have informed me that it may take upto 5 days to investigate.
But reading the horror stories on here I dont hold up much hope,

I provided Orane with my 3 speed tests for them, I was then told they would look in to my slow speeds and that someone will contact me in the next 48 hours,
The 48 hrs came and went, so I rung Orange up, was then asked for another 3 speed tests...at this point I asked to speak to a line manager.
Was on hold for 25 mins with nothing but a dead line.
At this point I just about flipped my lid, I have asked for my MAC code, the English guy on the other line was very helpful.
A BT open reach line Engineer has visited today and replaced my exterior phone line and wall socket..
This hasnt helped at all, and I didnt think for one minute that it would.. lol
Next stage is a broadband engineer... Im giving them another week to sort it out them Im off.
