When I got up this morning I plugged in my livebox (unplugged overnight as it interferes with a video-sender to my bedroom) and after firing up the computer, discovered that although the livebox leds appeared OK, and the routers stats appeared normal, there was NO connectivity and the 2nd line didn't work either. So it appears that the bit between me and the DSLAM is working OK.
Does anyone know if there is a problem on Orange's network?
My exchange is Duddington.
I have sent this from a Vodafone dongle on my laptop so I know the computers here are working normally.
I knew the normally good service (bar the call centres) was too good to last.
Well it's done the same thing today. Switch on live box at about 0630, all appears OK apart from the telephone symbol not lighting up. No connectivity apart from Live box menu and second line not working. Livebox stats all seem OK. Several restarts give no joy.
Restart live box at 0900 everything works OK.
Before anyone says leave it on all night, please see earlier post about the video-sender. I have had Live box Mk1 and this Live box mini for a few months and this is the first time I have had these problems.
I guess someone is doing some work somewhere along the pipe or Orange have some dubious hardware.
Does anyone know how an average time for ip addresses to be reallocated and some other poor soul to possibly pick up a dodgy connection?
