In the last week or so, it's been literally impossible to access any website. Even with Google, there's a problem.
Every couple of minutes, it's fine, but then it all goes t*its up again. I've just tried opening Google, and all I'm getting (at the bottom left hand corner of the screen) is 'waiting for Google' for about 30 seconds, then 'connecting to google' for ages - i.e nothing's happening. Have tried re-freshing the page but same problem.
After about 2 minutes, it either connects or I get the 'timed out' error message - sometimes, 'server not found'.
I've changed all the filters, even hooked the LiveBox into the main telephone socket, but still, same problem. No solution with other browsers too (IE, Opera, Firefox).
don't worry your not alone i have the same problem, twice in a week now. I have an internet connection as my skype is working and i can ping and tracert to google. Same response from india that there isn't a problem personally i think the floods have done something.
I also have this problem at home and will try the DNS change as suggested. I wonder how many others are affected but haven't come across this forum to seek a solution.
Iv just had a massive drop in speed and i mean massive. Gaming on my xbox is now pointless for online play and the only thing i can do is brows websites slowly......... anyone els has had a slow down problem?
My girlfriend who lives about 1mile if that away still has full speed and a perfect connection and shes been with them for years with no problem. why is it iv been with them for a few months and already im getting problems like this.
I would like you to contact me so I can have this investigated.
If you can email your landline numbers/broadband account numbers and best contact numbers to customer.services@orange.co.uk, I'll give you a ring to discuss.
So I can pick up your mails quickly, please add 'Jonathan Orange Response' in the first line.

Ok guys; an update :
Orange said there's an apparent fault on the line, and they're checking it as we speak.
They've also said to make less use of the phone since they need the line to be free.
So the conclusion of today's phone call was to call back in the next 24 hours. Anyone know what to expect ?
Your 24 hours may go into 72 hours or more as it did with me a while ago. I should have left Orange then I knew it was another lie and bullcrap so be prepared.

You were right, Tangoman; they're taking the problem to the next level (God knows how many levels there are), but on the bright side, I've hardly had any intermittent connections so far (whilst typing this).

Just seeing how long this is gonna last for....
Well, I've got to give Orange credit. They're certainly doing their best to resolve the problem, and I think they have
Their customer service is ok; they don't beat about the bush; you just have to make sure you don't have a massive conversation with them (it'll confuse them ).
I even got a call back today to see if everything was ok; so they do care, peeps
