Hello,

I'm not very good at understanding all of this and was hoping someone could explain it to me.

My current speedtest shows my download speed of 0.71mb/s and upload of 0.24mb/s.

My router stats are as follows

ADSL firmware version : A2pBT009c1.d17d
Connection mode : ADSL2
Type : Fast
Noise margin (dB) : 25.3
Attenuation (dB) : 54.5
Attainable download rate (kbps) : 2959
ADSL status : Connected [0]

Downstream Upstream
Rate (kbps) 1021 285

is ADSL2 the same as LLU?

I've recently been having issues with my landline not working and been in contact with BT and Orange. Orange claims that an engineer was sent to the exchange and they replaced something, not sure what, but prior to this little visit to the exchange my download speed test was regularly 1.8mb/s and I just need help with what to say to Orange - facts I can tell them to show that the decrease isn't normal because at the moment they're not caring - which doesn't surprise me.

well first off your noise margin is way to high should be set at 6db but adls2 is the connection type they using.

Mine is adsl2+ there using on mine cause i ahve a lne attentuation of 59.5 which longer than your's but i think you are stuck on 1 mb profile

have you got the internet plugged straight into the test socket on the BT socket behind the lower front half.
