I have an old dial up Freeserve account I use for a club I'm in that meets in a different place every week. I have been FTP'ing the pages up for over 6 years. I last updated the site 3 weeks ago. I have tried several times to connect over the last few days but it justs times out.
I suspect Orange have changed FTP details (As they changed the dialup numbers and the email servers). I have been using:-
uploads.webspace.freeserve.net
Does anyone have a clue what it might be now?
I did try speaking to technical support (?) but the only thing they could say was, we do not support websites or file transfer. "Who does?" "We don't." How useful!
I would change the site address today if I could but we have many members who only come intermittently and they use that site address to find out where we are for that week.
