Hi All, So the sagga begins. Livebox installed works fine 3rd party wirless crap but using wired anyway so no probs, then the trouble. The mrs wants her own pc as i keep taking my laptop away on business so get cheap old advent laptop for her (i know im so caring), no wifi and only stone age usb connection so again decide to set up using wired. Set up seems to go fine except about two minutes after connection and surfing it stops playing ball, check no issue with live box with other laptop all good. So here is the odd bit after hours of trawling net for remedies and trying all else thought lateral thinking plug the damn thing into the yellow rj45 port on the top and see what happens (apparently they are supposed to be technically the same?) joy of joys no more disconecting all is fine. Now i have no problem but am curious as to why this worked and thought it might help someone else, so comments welcome.
