After months of constant lies by Orange I finally found the truth today why they have lowered or give much slower service to us, a tech guy ( Pervase )who said he was sympathetic to my plight, (gone from 3 meg to 512 kb because that is the most stable ) he explained that Orange only had so much bandwidth paid for, or was willing to pay for, so they have capped us all and give pathetic excuses as to why we only get slow speeds, " there is only enough to go to all our customers if we limit the bandwidth and slow everyone down " he said, so after endless daily calls to get Sh*t answers lies and false promises the truth finally came out, it sounds as though Orange customer services and the Tech people have had enough as well.
So after finally getting my MAC code I am now in contract with o2 (now Sky) who seem to care for the customer a bit more than Orange.
My rating of Orange on a score of 1 to 10 =0 they are crap, everyone who works for them, the Indians who cut you off, and when they do talk you cannot understand them, to the Techies who are just sh*t at their job, and most of all the customer services underhand liars everyone of them.
As an aside my company phones that I have a contract with Orange for will be changing as well, so thats a few Thousand pounds they wont be screwing me for in the future.
