Secondly to ever get this to work you would have to get a laptop or stationary tower pc and get it working on there. Then you would have to make the data connection available to other devices as if it were a 'gateway' (much like a wireless router makes itself look like an access point so you can connect to it and use it.
The major stumbling block when it comes to trying to get these dongles working directly with one of the major current consoles is that when you plug it in there is no plug and play. The console will not instantly try and make the device work. It will just say " thats not a thing that i know about, the most i can do with that is maybe give it some charge but your on your own pal for functionality." and you cant tell it what the dongle is or how it works unless you wish to encode a programme manually which does this and if you do then your a software developer and i dont need to tell you all this stuff.
As an alternative to using the Windows network as above, you can now get quite cheap routers that will take 3G dongles. I have an Edimax 3G-6200n which is described on my site here http://www.jarviser.co.uk/jarv...dimax.html
It's then a matter of getting the Wii or whatever to talk to the router.
Bear in mind the best speeds on Orange dongles are around 2Mbps on an "Up to 3.2Mbps" dongle and that's if you can see the mast from your window.
