Last week my 2mb connection went to 3.30mb and i was downloading things at like 310kb per second and i was shocked because my line apparently can only handle a 2mb connection, then i noticed my line can now can support 4mb connection?

(It was 3mb for like Three days)

Now today it's faster than it used to be but not 3mb, can anyone explain what happend?

Before this happend my internet was disconnecting every 10 seconds for 3 days.

Check your router stats.....you're connection has probably changed to ADSL2+.

If you are on LLU then Orange are changing exchanges gradually to ADSL2+. If so you may need to change MTU to 1500....ADSL2+ seems to work best at this setting. Read up on it in the menu link on the left of this page.

If you are on the Orange's bought-in IPStream then there may be another cause.
