Hiya, I'm having a couple of problems installing my livebox.
First, when I get to the part of the Installation program where you choose either "wired" or "wireless", I'm choosing "wired", and the program tells me it's installing the software I need.
However, it installs for a while and then tells me that all components could not be installed and that I need to exit set-up and start again, which I've done quite a few times.
Strangely enough, even though it tells me this, the program advances and tells me to connect the Ethernet cable, which I do.
It then trys to connect to the Livebox, but then after a minute tells me that my Livebox couldn't be found, and suggests a cause could be that my firewall is still running. However, it is not running. And that's problem two.
I would REALLY appreciate any help because this Livebox is slowly taking away my will to live. Cheers
if you are running windows xp then you do not need the Orange software at all
it'd advice the following:
restore the livebox by powering it off, wait 30 seconds and turn it back on while holding button 1. When all the lights are lit unpress button 1
plug the eithernet cable into your livebox (yellow or red) and into your pcs eithernet port
Windows will probably come up with the icon in the task bar
go into the network control panel from connection (start > connect to > show all connections)
right click lan and click properties click tcp/ip and then properties, ensure its all set to automatic
now open a browser and try connecting to the livebox setup pages at http://192.168.1.1
