Trying to access my FSNET account online and I keep on getting the message:
'We apologise but this account is currently unavailable'
I am also unable to retrieve any emails via POP on my local Outlook Express since 27/07/09 . I rang the Orange Technical Support line and they told me that a lot of people had called in and said that the service was unavailable.
Email is back working now - but Orange email servers were down for 3 days. Surprised no-one else seemed to have any problems?!
What I discover now is that I cannot access the FSNET acount through Orange Email login at www.orange.co.uk anymore - I was told by their support people that I should now access my FSNET account through:
I have a freeserve.co.uk mail address and have been unable to collect mail for getting on for a week now. I have had several occasions in the past where I have been unable to collect mail but this is the longest period to date. It's still not working as I type this. I have tried the mail2web as suggested but just get the message "Error : Login Failure. Please check your email address and re-enter your password".
Do you still use the internet account associated with the freeserve address? Connecting to the internet using the account name keeps the email address active, if you do not connect using this account then it will expire after a certain amount of time.
Sign in to the members centre - http://www.orange.co.uk/member...centre/ and retrieve your account, if this does not work you have left it too long and it has been permenantly deleted.

I am no longer with Orange but still use their pop server to download mail from my freeserve.co.uk account. I send my outgoing mail via BT's smtp server. I check for Orange mail at least once a day and did so right up until it stopped working last week. I am unable to access mail using my mail client or from the Orange web mail - I just get the message 'We apologise but this account is currently unavailable' It looks like it will be gone for good this time.
You cannot access webmail or download mail because your account has either been suspended or deleted. Try to recover the account through the members centre (you do not have to be a current Orange customer) and follow the link provided to retrieve your account.

Sorry I should have said I tried that with no luck. I followed the process through to step 2 installation but when I click on the install button I get error message 'unable to process the internet sign up file' I tried it from my laptop and desktop with same result. Thanks anyway.
Jerry
The last stage where you are asked to download the internet connection settings is not required, you only need this if you wish to connect to the internet on an Orange connection.
If you have got that far your account should now be active, try logging in via webmail. If you still can't log in then i'm afraid it has been deleted.
