I've done it at long last!!!!!!
To those with a Livebox who can't stand the stupid pairing buttons, you can do away with them completely.
You need to get an ACCESS POINT box. I bought a BELKIN Range Extender/Access point for around £50 from PC World.
In short - disable the Livebox's wirelss capability via the config - a piece of cake. Follow the setup instructions from Belkin, and bingo!
The freaky thing is that the computer shows no sign of being attached to a network other than the fact that the internet actually works! The other bonus is that you have a range of approximately 100 meters as well
