hey all,

hope someone can shed some light on this for me.

ive had my Orange/Wanadoo connection now for over 6 years, upgraded to up to 8mb last year and have had no faults at all until this week!

until tuesday i used to get 6mb very consistently and no problems

at the moment im struggling to hit 600kbps!!

i actually work for BT broadband and have done all the usual checks (mastersocket, filters, router) and still no difference.

Looking at my Netgear router logs it appears im dropping connection as my last connection has been up for 2 hours

has anyone got any other ideas etc?

LLU or IPStream ?

If IPStream post the results from www.speedtester.BT.com together with the router stats. If LLU then just the stats.

here is the results from BT speedtester

Test1 comprises of Best Effort Test: -provides background information.
Your DSL connection rate: 6208 kbps(DOWN-STREAM), 448 kbps(UP-STREAM)
IP profile for your line is - 5000 kbps
Actual IP throughput achieved during the test was - 225 kbps

This test was not conclusive and further testing is required.
