I have been perfectly happy with my speedtouch wanadoo broadband modem 2mb connection, but when I changed my mobile phone contract to Orange, they sent me the livebox (or should that be livebrick)!
Anyway tried connecting it. The software did not install fully (despite several attempts) but it did allow me to go online. However
1. The connection was very slow
2. It kept disconnecting after ~5 mins
3. It wasn't giving me a log on in network connections, so I had to reinstall the software every time I wanted to reconnect.
I assume you're connecting through a wired connection rather than wireless.
You should have a Local Area Connection within network connections, thats the one to the livebox when on wired. When it disconnects right click that icon, what does the status read? If connected go to the support tab, what is the address type and IP address?
When it's disconnected can you open 192.168.1.1 in Internet Explorer and get a livebox page?
What do the lights on the livebox show at this point?
