I'm wondering if someone might be able to help. I unfortunately use a Wanadoo Livebox, and have recently been having problems with the automatic updates, in the form that I turn the computer on, the update page displays and the Livebox updates.
Recently, around 72 hrs after each update, the Livebox would "loose" its sychnronisation with the ADSL connection, and no longer connect, displaying the typical IE "Page Cannot be Displayed" message. So, I would usually end up restore the configuration/firmwire, until the next update.
However, over the last 2 days, this has been happening, the Livebox updates as soon as I restore the old firmwire, rendering the sychnronisation off again, no matter what I do! Any help would be appreciated, as at the moment I have resorted to going back to the Speedtouch USB modem I was originally supplied with!
Oh, BTW, has anyone replaced their Livebox with a Linksys (non-wireless) ADSL router for their Wanadoo/Orange broadband connection, as I'm now thinking of doing this. I take it is just a case of setting up the username, password and VCI/VPI settings to get the connection up and running?
