Just trying to setup an incoming mail and spam filter seeing as Orange cant or wont deal with the increasing crap coming through my inbox and instead choose to impose stupid strictures such as blocking port 25. As such i decided to take matters into my own hands and setup an incoming mail server combined with a spam filter.
For some reason i can access the Orange pop servers from outlook express but from the incoming mail filter i am unable to ping the Orange pop servers.
Additionally my friend who lives >60 miles away is also unable to ping pop.orangehome.co.uk
when i do try and ping the servers the ping request returns an IP address of

193.252.22.137
Same story for my friend who lives over 60 miles away.
Does anyone know whats going on here?
I can ping the homecall pop servers and any other website on the internet and i can browse the web as normal on all machines, i just for some unknown reason ping the Orange pop servers and smtp servers. I tried calling Orange regarding this issue where i ran up against a helpful young gentleman who tried to teach me how to setup outlook express >.<
